ePMS - Electronic Prescription Management System
As part of our commitment to offering the latest service developments
to our patients we are pleased to inform you that a new repeat prescription service is now available at Priorslegh. Electronic
Prescription Management System (ePMS) is a new alternative
prescription service which allows the practice to accept and
check repeat prescription requests electronically. ePMS sends an
electronic authorisation for your medication to be dispensed through an NHS pharmacy called Pharmacy2U Ltd, who will then deliver it free of charge to any address you choose, by secure, recorded delivery.
The advantages of this new service are:
-
You request your repeat prescription by
telephoning Pharmacy2U or via a secure website rather than coming to the
surgery.
- Your prescription medicine will be delivered free of charge to your door.
-
If you wish, Pharmacy2U will remind you when your repeat
prescription is due, and can then order it for you.
-
You can phone Pharmacy2U on a helpline number if you have
general medication queries, and speak to a qualified pharmacist .
Unfortunately this service is not suitable for urgent prescriptions, as delivery takes up to two working days.
Please note, this is an additional service to our patients, and those
patients who would prefer to continue to collect their prescriptions
from the surgery, and their medication from their local pharmacy, may
continue to do so.
If you would like to take advantage of this new service then just
click on the link below. This will take you to the
Pharmacy2U website where you can register for this service.
